8FOODS you HAVE TO try from our 8Countries

Hola Chicos!! Hungry? I know we are! All 8 of us come from totally different backgrounds where we eat totally different foods, so if you wanted to check out some of our favorite dishes from our countries check out this list! 🍴

  1.  Peixe Grelhado🐟 (grilled fish) from Portugal 🇵🇹:  Eating fish in Portugal is not merely a meal, it’s an experience! When the fish, coated with coarse salt, hits the coal-fueled grill, MAGIC happens.
  2. Thanksgiving Turkey from USA 🇺🇸: Nothing tastes so good as that quintessential all-American meal of turkey. It can be roasted or deep-fried bird, or tofurkey, or that weirdly popular Louisiana contribution turducken, and you will love it all.
  3. Schweinsbraten from Germany 🇩🇪: This roasted pork dish is heavily associated with the meat-loving Bavarians. It is salted and pickled taste comes from the way it used to be preserved before refrigerators were invented, with the addition of delicious herbs and side dishes like “Stöcklkraut” (roasted cabbage) and “Knödel” (dumplings).
  4. Belgian Chocolates 🇧🇪: The Belgians simply perfected this type of gourmet that it’s a must to try one of the famous brands like Neuhaus (the inventor of the ‘praline‘), Godiva, Leonidas, and Nirvana. Though of course, there are more brands and shops in Belgium (like Marcolini, Wittamer, etc.) that can definitely make you cry with joy. (In fact, there are over 2,000 chocolatiers there!!!).
  5. Golgappas from India 🇮🇳: Golgappas can only be described as a single bite of deliciousness. Also known as Panipuri, this Indian street snack is a hit with the locals. It’s a round, fried crisp filled to the brim with flavored water, tamarind chutney, chaat masala, potato, onion, and chickpeas. The trick is to eat this snack in one mouthful and that’s what makes it the perfect quick street snack.
  6. Stroopwafels from Netherlands 🇳🇱: A delicious chewy cookie, the stroopwafel (syrup waffle) was first made in the town of Gouda in the Netherlands during the 18th century. This sweet snack is a waffle cookie made from two thin layers of batter with a sticky syrup filling in the middle. They go best with a cup of coffee or tea. You can buy packaged stroopwafels, but the fresh ones are ummm…just crazy!!
  7. Anticuchos from Peru 🇵🇪: It is the quintessential Peruvian street food. Succulent, tender and zinging with flavor, when Peruvians find a preferred purveyor of this filling and hearty snack, they’ll line up as long as it takes to get their hands on it. And trust us, you should too if you have to. It will be worth it.
  8. Paella from Spain 🇪🇸: Paella is a traditional rice dish originating in Valencia. It’s a rice dish, usually prepared in a big pot over an open fire, with a variety of vegetables, meat, chicken or fish added. Also, each cook makes Paella differently, so it’s good to try it more than once and at different restaurants.

Hope you enjoy, and try them all!!😋
